Psychotherapy, or talk therapy, is a way to help people with a broad variety of mental illnesses and emotional difficulties. Psychotherapy can help eliminate or control troubling symptoms so a person can function better and can increase well-being and healing.
Problems helped by psychotherapy include difficulties in coping with daily life; the impact of trauma, medical illness or loss, and specific mental disorders, like depression or anxiety.
Gottman Method is a research-based intervention which uses a multi-faceted process known as The Sound Relationship House Theory to strengthen the weak areas in your relationship. The Gottman Method aims to disarm conflicting verbal communication; increase intimacy, respect, and affection; and to remove barriers that create a feeling of being stuck.
An Initial Diagnostic Interview (IDI) is an interview in which a mental health professional explores an individuals presenting problem, current situation, and background information.
